ULTRALUBE® wax additives are standing for surface modification for customized paints and coatings. Tailored to the application areas of coatings, graphic arts, concrete and architecture as well as their applications such as clear coats, pigmented systems, overprint varnishes, flexo printing inks and cementitious systems.

Our many years of experience in wax emulsification result in products with outstanding properties. By using the ULTRALUBE® product portfolio in aqueous coating systems, optimized physical and visual properties are achieved in addition to excellent resistance.
With ULTRALUBE® wax emulsions it is possible to achieve or modify surface properties such as scratch, abrasion or block resistance with unchanged gloss level of the resulting coating. In addition, (silk) matt surfaces can be realized with ULTRALUBE® products without additional matting agents. Particularly noteworthy are the emulsifier-free ULTRALUBE® wax specialties, or those produced on the basis of modified HDPE waxes, which lead to very good blocking resistance in paint systems without at the same time negatively influencing the recoatability.
In the development of ULTRALUBE® wax additives, the focus is on the use of environmentally compatible raw materials that are as physiologically harmless as possible. The latest developments document these efforts to the extent that ULTRALUBE® types with further increased environmental compatibility are available to meet the demand for more environmentally compatible coating systems. Like the classic established ULTRALUBE® types, the new developments are characterized by the fact that they are VOC-free, APEO-free, formaldehyde-free and heavy metal-free and are also formulated without amines.
With a targeted selection of raw materials as well as the interplay of formulation and adapted process control, the prerequisites for various international requirements, such as FDA 175.300, BfR XIV and XXXVI, Swiss Ordinance, Plastic Directive, etc., are fulfilled.
